Homework
At Langley Moor Primary we believe homework is a valuable aspect of children’s learning. Homework helps children improve important skills such as independence, resilience, and self-motivation.
Homework will focus particularly on developing basic skills in reading, spelling and maths.
Our school Homework policy is below:

Tapestry
In Reception homework tasks will be suggested every Thursday via Tapestry. These can be completed throughout the week. The tasks will be mainly focussing on reading, writing and maths. Reading books are assigned once a week on Oxford Owl, after the children have read the book with an adult in school. The home leading library is available to encourage children to read and share a range of stories for pleasure at home. We encourage parents to use Tapestry to communicate with EYFS staff about completed tasks by uploading videos, photographs or comments.
